Our story

Qalb Welfare Foundation was founded to close the gap between good intentions and real, accountable action. What began as a small circle of volunteers helping neighbors in need has grown into a foundation working across health, education, the environment, and emergency relief — while keeping every transaction logged and open to review.

We believe trust is earned in the details: a report filed the same day it happens, a family followed up on after the cameras leave, a promise kept quietly. That is still how we work today, in every city we reach.

Founder

Umer Iftikhar is a Pakistani journalist, humanitarian, and social advocate whose work is trusted by communities across the country — the drive behind why this foundation exists.

Zahoor Ahmad

Chairman

Zahoor Ahmad is a social activist, blood donation advocate, climate advocate, businessman, and entrepreneur who guides the foundation's direction and governance.

Dr. Shahid Iqbal

President

Dr. Muhammad Shahid Iqbal — Medical professional and public health researcher (MBBS, KMU), currently a Postgraduate Resident in Anesthesia at Ayub Teaching Hospital, and President of Qalb Welfare Foundation.

Shahab Afridi

General Secretary

Shahabuddin Afridi is a philanthropist with a background in retail management, fire safety, and business, known for strong leadership, effective communication, and a genuine commitment to community service.

This website exists because of Wahid Khan's effort and persistence — coordinating what the foundation needed, pushing the project forward, and seeing it through from idea to launch.

Faizan designed and coded this website from the ground up. He is the founder of HiConnect, a software house building digital solutions for organizations like ours.

Babar Haider

Project Director

Babar Haider manages the platform’s daily activities and oversees its operations. The platform was designed with his guidance and brought to life through his dedication and hard work, from planning to launch. He serves as the Country Project Director with additional charge as Country Media Director.
